In this report Leigh Wachenheim of Milliman examines the variation in claim costs by policy duration in individual major medical insurance. Annual and monthly durational claim cost factors are analyzed in aggregate as well as by deductible level, issue age, underwriting rating classification, and pre-existing condition limitation. The Health Section Research Team is pleased to make available the results of this study.
